THE WALL Revision 5.1 - (c) 1996, Robert Thomson
====
DISCLAIMER: You touch it, you bought it. It works on mine, it may not work on
yours. That's all there is to it. But I try my best to make it work on all
systems.
====
DESCRIPTION: This is a MEX 'graffiti' wall that I made in a mere 6 hours
(maybe more, maybe less. All I know is that my eyes are about to fall out of
my head) Many walls that I've seen arrange the wall items in an awkward
order, (right way up) but after a while people get sick of having to wade
through several pages of old wall items just to see the new ones. So this
wall is created in reverse order to make it easier. It will also store a
user's real name in the display file, but it will only been shown to those
with sysop access.
(Later Addition: Add another 6 hours onto that 6 now :)
(Later Addition: Add another 3 hours onto that 12 now :)
The only things you have to do to get THEWALL up and running is edit the
THEWALL.CFG file and place it in your maximus root (usually \max) directory.
You also will need to edit the WALLHEAD.MEC so that the [link] down the bottom
points to the correct WALLDISP file.

If you like The Wall, and appreciate the effort I put into making a free
program (but still under copyright laws) please leave me a netmail message at
3:622/447.1 as I need encouragement. :-)

MY PHILOSOPHY ON SOFTWARE:
When I look at Maximus, I see a great piece of software, totally
free. The author's don't expect money, even though they deserve it for the
work they have put into it. I don't understand it when I see this little
utility (hardly an application) that people are asking an unreasonable amount
of money for. Some may call it reasonable, but $37 (Canadian) for a LIST
program?! I sure don't think that's reasonable..When you stand it and
software like Maximus side by side it's ridiculous..That's why I have decided
to make all my utilities free to the world. I don't like having to pay for
software that I don't think is worth it, so I don't, and I don't expect
others to pay for it either. All I ask is if you like this program, to send
me some netmail saying what you think of my programs.

Thanks to Chris Austin and Ideasoft for the `x colour idea and his nifty
little mex functions which we all admire. Chris, if you read this..Can you
tell me one thing? How do you keep your code looking so neat? :-) It puts
mine to shame..
